NEW MARKDOWNS!
We have a new automatic markdown system for our clothing! Any clothing that has been in the store for 60-105 days will automatically ring up at 10% off, any clothing that has been in the store 105-150 days will automatically ring up at 30% off & any clothing that has been in the store for more than 150 days will automatically ring up at 50% off! We used to do all of our markdowns at end of season which meant that to be fair to the consignors we would have to stop accepting clothing in October for the winter season & April for the summer season. With the automatic markdowns, we can continue accepting one season until the next season begins. This allows us to constantly rotate our inventory so we have new items to offer you at all times and lower prices on items that we’ve had for awhile. It also keeps us from turning the stores upside between seasons as we pull all of one season at a time. We will pull based on the length of time items have been in the store & with the constant sales, hopefully we will have to return less to our consignors. Going forward the tags on the clothing will state the dates that these markdowns will occur but for those items already in our inventory, it is based on the date that the item was entered into our inventory & that date is printed on the tag. Our POS system will also recognize (based on that date) which items need to be marked down & will instantly discount the item by the appropriate amount when we scan the bar code.
CONSIGNMENT APPOINTMENTS
As I mentioned in the Markdowns section, we can now accept consignment appointments for winter items into January. So if you didn’t make it in earlier, there is still time! Our Bridgemill store accepts sizes newborn to 10 & our Hickory Flat store accepts sizes newborn to 14. We are accepting one appointment per day and have immediate openings. We desperately need sizes 4-8 in both boys & girls at both stores! If you know anyone with those sizes in very gently used condition, please tell them about us!
BLACK FRIDAY EVENTS
Most stores have their Black Friday sales earlier in the morning. We will have our sales in the afternoon so that you have the opportunity to go to our store & those other stores! We will be having great sales on our clothing & gift items INCLUDING WEBKINZ & SNAP CAPS from 1 to 5 PM on Friday, November 27th! Please join us for many great gift & holiday ideas & sales at both stores! We will also have free gifts with minimum purchase.
SIDEWALK SALE EVENT
We will be having a sidewalk sale on gift items at our Bridgemill store from 5-6:30 on most Tuesday, Thursday & Friday evenings & from 12 to 3 on Saturdays (weather permitting). We have tons of gift items to clear out to make space for new items so here is your chance to get great gifts & stocking stuffers at 25-75% off!
MOMS NIGHT OUT
Funky Monkey & Honey Bee Toys will be holding three great nights of holiday shopping fun for Moms at the Hickory Flat Commons shopping center on Thursday evening, December 3, 10 & 17th! We will be open from 7:30 till ??? We will have coffee, soda, wine, cheese & crackers, etc. Please plan to join us while Dad is home with the children to do your holiday shopping & have some fun with the girls…bring your friends!
OUR ELVES
Elf on the Shelf is now available at our Bridgemill store with a limited quantity remaining! Our very popular & inexpensive Elf boys & girls are available at both stores. We sold out very early last year & were unable to get more stock in time so get them now! We have almost sold out of the girl version already & are hoping to get more in time but have no control on the turn around time from our supplier.
WEBKINZ
We have the Webkinz Peppermint Puppy & Reindeer as well as the Reindeer Kinz Klip. We also have a few of the Webkinz Thanksgiving Turkeys left. The new Webkinz Zumbuddies will be in by Friday (in limited quantity). From what we hear, other stores who received their shipments earlier have already sold out so get them quickly! Our Webkinz & Kinz Klip combo packs are now 30% off or $9.63 (less than Target or Toys R US).

Remember we have a huge stock of AHA uniforms in the back room at our BridgeMill store. We have put out our fall/winter stock, however if you need any short sleeved items, just ask. We still have them! We do not carry AHA at the Hickory Flat store.
BIRTHDAY SHIRTS
We now have birthday shirts (many designs to choose from-ask to see the book) which we will customize with your child's name & age. Please allow 2-5 business days for all special orders. These shirts are perfect for your child to wear at their birthday party! Big Brother/Sister shirts are also available. We also have the very cute birthday hats & bibs from Mud Pie for first birthdays!
MONOGRAMMING
We carry many monogrammed gift items and you can bring in your items for monogramming as well. Most outside monogramming can be done for $10.00. Turn around time is usually 2-5 days but we can process rush orders in under 48 hours for a $5.00 rush fee.
MONKEY MONEY
We began a rewards program called MONKEY MONEY in September which has been very popular! If you sign up for this program you will receive a point for every dollar spent in our store. Every time you reach 100 points, you will be able to redeem those points as a $10.00 gift certificate in the store on your next visit through the introductory period (which ends 12/31/09). After the introductory period, you will be able to redeem the points as a $5.00 gift certificate which much better than even Gymboree's program in which you receive $5.00 for every 250 points or $250 dollars spent. We will also have some MONKEY MONEY MADNESS DAYS when you can earn double points (2 points for each dollar spent). Watch this blog for Monkey Money updates! NEW HOURS AT BRIDGEMILL
BridgeMill is now open later on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday! We are open from 10 am until 7 pm on those days. We are still open from 10 am to 6 pm on Mondays & Wednesdays & from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Hickory Flat's hours are 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Wednesday, 10 am to 7 pm Thursday & Friday & 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday.
FUNDRAISING
We now have the capability to do after hours "mom's night out" fund raising events at our Hickory Flat store. We can open the store for two hours just for your invitees & a percentage of the evening's sales will go to your charity. Charities will need to be approved. Please call for additional details!

Label your bin/basket with your name & telephone #. Styles need to be from the past 3 years. If you are trying to decide whether you should bring an item, ask yourself if you would purchase it for your child in it's current condition. We are cutting back our sizes and will be accepting sizes Preemie to Size 10 childrens' clothing at Bridgemill & up to Size 14 at Hickory Flat. We also accept all sizes of maternity clothing. We need jogging strollers (single or double), Sit n' Stands, Pack n' Plays, Exersaucers & Walkers in excellent condition & complete with all of the pieces! Please make sure your baby gear is CLEAN when you bring it. Thank you!

1. Shop often. The best stuff goes quickly, but don't be discouraged because we receive 100's of items every day, which means our product is constantly moving in and out. If you didn't find that exact item this week we might have it next time. 2. Ask a sales associate about items behind the counter. These items are for sale but haven't been hung and sent out to the floor. Don't be shy and be the first to take advantage of these great finds.
BIN PICKUP
Please remember that you have 10 days from the time that we call you to pick up your bin (for recently consigned fall/winter clothing) or left over summer clothing. After 10 days we automatically donate your items to the Cherokee Family Violence Center. All summer clothing that has not been picked up has now been donated. Everyone had more than 2 weeks to pick up their items & we do not have any extra space to store those items. We can provide a tax receipt for you - please let us know if you need one.

HICKORY FLAT GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION THIS SATURDAY

HICKORY FLAT STORE GRAND OPENING & FALL FESTIVAL
This Saturday, November 7th, we will be having our grand opening celebration at our Hickory Flat store from 10 am to 5 pm & the Hickory Flat Commons shopping center where our store is located will be hosting a big Fall Festival from 11 am - 3 pm! We will have a monkey bean bag toss for the kids with all sorts of monkey prizes! We will have a “Gone Bananas” tree which will hold discounts for every purchase.
