Our children will be back in school in less than a month! Immediately, the fundraisers will begin. We try to help out the local schools by creating a bottle cap (for the bottle cap necklaces or locker magnets) using the school’s logo and making a donation for each one we sell. Plus it is a great way for both parents & children to show their school pride! We currently offer Sixes, Liberty & AHA. We would love to offer them for all of the schools surrounding our stores! If you know someone on the PTA or at the school that could provide the logo & approval for us to use it, please email or call us with that information!

Summer Clearance
Our 50% off summer sale has ended. Thank you to everyone who came in and helped us make room for fall & winter clothing. Yes, the sale ended but most of our summer clothing is still 30-50% off on automatic markdowns based on the dates they arrived in our stores. So do your back to school shopping now – remember since school starts so early, the kids wear summer clothing for the first three months of school here in Cherokee county.

AHA UNIFORMS
We have plenty of AHA uniforms and we also need your uniforms if you have any that don’t fit your children anymore. In the past week, we have had many families shopping for their back to school uniforms. So come in now for the best selection or call to drop off your clothing. We also need Primrose uniform shirts. Let us know if we can become the local resale headquarters for any other private school uniforms!
Selling your Clothing with Us
As of this season, we are buying your clothing instead of taking them on consignment. Please see all of the details below. We are taking more drop offs on a daily basis. Call now to schedule your drop off!
Selling to & Consigning With Funky Monkey
Funky Monkey now purchases your clothing up front. We still take baby gear (strollers, Pack n’ plays, exersaucers, swings, etc.) on consignment. We also still take AHA uniforms on a consignment basis. Drop-offs are done by appointment and what we purchase is seasonal. We buy Spring & Summer items from January through June and fall & winter items from July through December, based on demand. On your scheduled day, you may drop off anytime during the window of 11 am – 5 pm. There are no appointments on Saturdays, but special exceptions can be made, should our schedule allow. You will need to pick up your bins & accept /decline our offer within 3 business days after drop off. We will select the items we want & need and offer you a price for those items. The offer will be for all items that we select, or none. When you pick up your bin, you can decide whether to accept or decline the offer. If you accept the offer by the 1st of the month, your check will be available by the 10th of that month. If you accept the offer by the 15th of the month, your check will be available by the 25th of that month. Consigned items that sell will follow the same payment schedule. If the items sell by the 1st of the month, the check will be available by the 15th and if they sell by the 15th, the check will be available by the 25th of the month. Please note that we will only mail out checks if you live outside of Cherokee, Cobb or Bartow counties.
We purchase sizes preemie/newborn through juniors. We only accept items in “LIKE NEW” condition and in “CURRENT” (that you would be able to purchase at the mall or other new retail stores today) styles. We do not purchase items with excessive wear, missing buttons, missing tags, split seams, holes, pilling or any stains whatsoever. Clothing should be re-laundered & pressed before you bring it to us & shoes need to be clean. Please check winter coats/jackets as many times we find that they were put away the previous season without being laundered & still have “treasures” in the pockets. We do not accept cloth diapers, underwear, socks or hats (unless they are part of an outfit). Baby gear must be clean & stain free as well! We cannot accept potty chairs, bath tubs or breast pumps. We accept all brands with the exception of “dollar store”, Wal-Mart & Kmart brands. Please remember that what we pay is dependent on the brand. Items ABSOLUTELY must be in a BIN WITH A LID when you drop them off. If the above guidelines are not followed, it will not only affect what we are able to accept but will also affect the price we are able to offer as we will be required to do more work prior to being able to sell your items.

FUNKY BANDZ TRADING DAY
During the summer, we will have Bandz Trading Days every Thursday from 4:00-6:00 pm at both stores! We will also have a trading day every first Saturday at Bridgemill & third Saturday at Hickory Flat from 11:30-3:30. Kids can come and trade their bandz with other kids and our employees! We will have drawings once an hour for a free pack of Bandz or a $5.00 gift card and Bandz will be 10% off of 3 or more packs during these trading events!

We still have plenty of the new Funky Bandz designs that were launched two weeks ago. We also have a “Lucky’ design, Firefighters & Tools designs! Much of our summer clothing is on automatic markdown now so come in and check the tags for the automatic markdown dates & prices! HOWEVER, we have started our summer clearance so all consigned clothing & shoes are now an ADDITIONAL 50% OFF!!! We will no longer be carrying any consigned toys so all consigned toys will be 50% off until they are gone. Baby gear (strollers, swings, etc.) are 25% off through the end of June! One more week of school! My oldest is so ready to be done with projects & finals….we can feel the excitement of the kids when they come in to the stores…almost there! Speaking of the end of the school year- we have plenty of great teacher gifts left & some new great end of year gifts for both boys & girls. One of the new items is mood rings & mood necklaces in the shape of sea creatures, butterflies & dragonflies. FUNKY BANDZ LAUNCH PARTY & TRADING DAY
It’s finally almost here! Tomorrow, Saturday, May 22nd from 11 am to 3 pm at our Hickory Flat store- Four brand new BANDZ designs will be released at our stores before any other stores anywhere! The designs are Military, Texting,Camp & Superstars! The designer from Funky Bandz will be with us for the event & for every pack of the new designs you purchase, you will also receive a ticket for a drawing to design a pack of Bandz with her that will be sold all across the country & will have the winner’s name included on the packaging! She will also be teaching children how to make their own Bandz trading binders at 12 & 2 pm. If you purchase 10 packages of any bandz during the event tomorrow, you will receive 1 free package! We will have face painting for the younger children. Representatives from the American Legion will be with us between 2:00 – 3:00 for a special donation from the sale of the Military Bandz. Please thank them for their service and the work they do to help our active duty troops & their families!

Please remember that you have 10 days from the time that we call you to pick up your bin (for recently consigned clothing) or clothing from the past season that didn’t sell. After 10 days we automatically donate your items to the Cherokee Family Violence Center. We can provide a tax receipt for you - please let us know if you need one.

Designer Trunk Show
We will be having a designer trunk show of all new items at both stores next weekend May 14th & 15th. Bridgemill will be on Friday, the 14th from 11 am to 3 pm & Hickory Flat will be on Saturday the 15th from 11 am to 3 pm. If you like are Mia Ragazza pillowcase dresses, you will love these items! Funky Bandz Launch Party
We are very excited to be hosting the first ever Bandz Launch Party & Trading Event on Saturday, May 22nd from 11 am to 3 pm ONLY AT OUR HICKORY FLAT STORE! The Funky Bandz designer will be here for the event. They will be launching brand new bandz designs at the event & those new designs will be available at our stores before they will be available anywhere else in the U.S. She will be showing kids how to make their own Bandz trading albums at 12:00 & 2:00! For every package of the new designs that you purchase, you will be given a ticket for your child to enter a drawing to design the next package with Funky Bandz! That child’s name will be included on the packaging of that design and sold all across the U.S. That child will also receive a number of free packages of that design to share with their family & friends when it becomes available! We will also have snacks & face painting. Please make plans to join us for this very special event. We anticipate selling out of the new designs early!
Hide-ees
We are carrying a new item called Hide-ees (see photos on right). They are adorable shorts that come in various colors for girls size 2 to 10 to wear under their skirts & dresses. They are similar to the Monkey Bar Buddies that we carried last year (we still have some of those left) but they are cuter and are slightly lower priced.

CRAZERASERS- These popular & funky puzzle erasers arrived two days before Easter & are very popular!
Wee Blocks- We’ve carried these for awhile but we just received a new shipment with new designs! They are great shower gifts for baby boys – they block the wee-wee when mommmy or daddy is changing the diaper! Super cute!

SUMMER HOURS
We have returned to our summer hours. We open at 10 am every day at both stores and we close at 6 pm on Monday & Wednesday evenings and at 7 pm on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday evenings at Bridgemill. We close at 6 pm Monday through Wednesday and at 7 pm on Thursday & Friday evening at Hickory Flat. We close at 5 pm on Saturdays & are closed on Sundays at both stores.

We now have birthday shirts (many designs to choose from-ask to see the book) which we will customize with your child's name & age. Please allow 2-5 business days for all special orders. These shirts are perfect for your child to wear at their birthday party! Big Brother/Sister shirts are also available. We carry many monogrammed gift items and you can bring in your items for monogramming as well. Most outside monogramming can be done for $10.00. Turn around time is usually 2-5 days but we can process rush orders in under 48 hours for a $5.00 rush fee.

We began a rewards program called MONKEY MONEY in September which has been very popular! If you sign up for this program you will receive a point for every dollar spent in our store. Every time you reach 100 points, you will be able to redeem those points as a $5.00 gift certificate in the store on your next visit. We will also have some MONKEY MONEY MADNESS DAYS when you can earn double points (2 points for each dollar spent). Watch this blog for Monkey Money updates! SILLYBANDZ, FUNKY BANDZ & ZANY BANDZ
These colorful & fun shaped rubber bands are the most popular item we have ever had! We are carrying three different lines just so we can get our hands on enough stock & we still seem to run out too often. Each of these three brands carry some of the same shapes & than they each have their own unique shapes & are constantly designing new ones. My personal favorite is the new hippie bands that Funky Bandz created. We are the only store in Georgia that carries the Funky Bandz line so far! We will have our largest shipment ever arriving FIRST THING THIS MORNING from them & they will sell out quickly. Our Friday shipment was gone by Saturday morning so make sure you get them quickly for Easter baskets! We will also be receiving a limited quantity of the Rockbandz & the all NEW Fantasy bands from SillyBandz tomorrow! We have many new choker colors & cap designs – come & check them out for yourself. We also have a number of new super cute Snap Cap keepers. These are other great Easter basket gifts! We donate $1.00 of the proceeds of each cap sold to the school so it is a great way to show your school pride & support your school. FUNDRAISING
We now have the capability to do after hours "mom's night out" fund raising events at our Hickory Flat store. We can open the store for two hours just for your invitees & a percentage of the evening's sales will go to your charity. Charities will need to be approved. Please call for additional details!
SHOPPERS GUIDE TO FUNKY MONKEY
1. Shop often. The best stuff goes quickly, but don't be discouraged because we receive 100's of items every day, which means our product is constantly moving in and out. If you didn't find that exact item this week we might have it next time.
2. Ask a sales associate about items behind the counter. These items are for sale but haven't been hung and sent out to the floor. Don't be shy and be the first to take advantage of these great finds.

While the snow is fun for a day, most of us are tired of the unusually long & cold winter here in GA. The kids are on winter break - the next time they have a week long break will be in April - spring time! We have a special Webkinz coupon in the column to your right valid for this week only. We have a NEW item! The Little Experience…creative things for children to make & do. We found these when we went to the gift show in Atlanta & fell in love with them immediately & hope you will too! WINTER HOURS
We open at 10 am every day and we will be closing at 6 pm on weeknights for the remainder of the winter with the exception of Tuesdays at Bridgemill. We will still be open until 7 pm on Tuesdays at the Bridgemill store. We close at 5 pm on Saturdays & are closed on Sundays at both stores.
LAST CHANCE RACKS
Remember our holiday & outerwear racks? Those racks have become “Last Chance” racks. Clothing that have been in our store for awhile will be moved to this rack at a 50% DISCOUNT for a few weeks before we return them to the consignors or donate them to the Cherokee Family Violence Center. New Items will be added to these racks often so check them frequently & take advantage of the bargains!

We began a rewards program called MONKEY MONEY in September which has been very popular! If you sign up for this program you will receive a point for every dollar spent in our store. Every time you reach 100 points, you will be able to redeem those points as a $5.00 gift certificate in the store on your next visit. We will also have some MONKEY MONEY MADNESS DAYS when you can earn double points (2 points for each dollar spent). Watch this blog for Monkey Money updates! FUN FINDS CHRISTMAS VENDOR NIGHT TONIGHT
Canton has a great furniture & home décor consignment store which opened earlier this year called Fun Finds & Designs. They are located in the building behind the Dairy Queen on Highway 5. The owner is having a Christmas Show with 10+ vendors (including us) tonight (Tuesday, December 8th) from 5:00-9:00 pm. LADIES NIGHT OUT
Tuck the kids in bed, get dad to babysit & head over to Hickory Flat Commons this Thursday, December 10th! It will be our second of three holiday Ladies’ Night Outs at our Hickory Flat store! Honey Bee Toys & Vine & Branches (the stores on either side of us) are also participating in this event! This special holiday event begins at 7:00 pm for the ladies (or men, but no children please). We will be providing beverages & snacks. We will have a few other vendors present & will have some special promotions on gift items including on Webkinz! We will stay open until you’re done shopping! SANTA IS COMING TO TOWN!

Any clothing that has been in the store for 60-105 days will automatically ring up at 10% off, any clothing that has been in the store 105-150 days will automatically ring up at 30% off & any clothing that has been in the store for more than 150 days will automatically ring up at 50% off! We used to do all of our markdowns at end of season which meant that to be fair to the consignors we would have to stop accepting clothing in October for the winter season & April for the summer season. With the automatic markdowns, we can continue accepting one season until the next season begins. This allows us to constantly rotate our inventory so we have new items to offer you at all times and lower prices on items that we’ve had for awhile. It also keeps us from turning the stores upside between seasons as we pull all of one season at a time. We will pull based on the length of time items have been in the store & with the constant sales, hopefully we will have to return less to our consignors. Going forward the tags on the clothing will state the dates that these markdowns will occur but for those items already in our inventory, it is based on the date that the item was entered into our inventory & that date is printed on the tag. Our POS system will also recognize (based on that date) which items need to be marked down & will instantly discount the item by the appropriate amount when we scan the bar code.
CONSIGNMENT APPOINTMENTS
As I mentioned in the Markdowns section, we can now accept consignment appointments for winter items into January. So if you didn’t make it in earlier, there is still time! Our Bridgemill store accepts sizes newborn to 10 & our Hickory Flat store accepts sizes newborn to 14. We are accepting one appointment per day and have immediate openings. We desperately need sizes 4-8 in both boys & girls at both stores! If you know anyone with those sizes in very gently used condition, please tell them about us!
BLACK FRIDAY EVENTS
Most stores have their Black Friday sales earlier in the morning. We will have our sales in the afternoon so that you have the opportunity to go to our store & those other stores! We will be having great sales on our clothing & gift items INCLUDING WEBKINZ & SNAP CAPS from 1 to 5 PM on Friday, November 27th! BIN PICKUP
Please remember that you have 10 days from the time that we call you to pick up your bin (for recently consigned fall/winter clothing) or left over summer clothing. After 10 days we automatically donate your items to the Cherokee Family Violence Center. All summer clothing that has not been picked up has now been donated. Everyone had more than 2 weeks to pick up their items & we do not have any extra space to store those items. We can provide a tax receipt for you - please let us know if you need one.

We have just inventoried tons of fall & winter clothing at the Bridge Mill store over the past few days so come in & check out the new selections this week! We spent a good bit of time reorganizing that store in the past two weeks so we were behind with fall & winter inventorying & are finally almost caught up. Consignor checks were mailed today. I apologize that they are a few days late but I have been at the Hickory Flat store non-stop. I went to the Bridge Mill store for a few hours on Sunday to print them. Also, beginning this month we have added a $.50 check fee per check. The cost for the check, envelope, ink & postage is actually significantly more than that but we are sharing the cost. If you choose to come in to the store & apply your store credit to a purchase, we will not deduct the $.50 fee. Believe it or not, postage alone has increased twice since we opened.

WEBKINZ are coming to Funky Monkey! Many of you have been requesting that we carry them and we listened! They will be in the store by late April or early May!

WE ARE NOW SELLING TICKETS (CASH PLEASE) FOR THE RACETRAC CONCERT FOR THE CURE! ANYONE WHO BUYS THEIR TICKETS BY APRIL 25TH WILL BE ENTERED INTO A DRAWING FOR A NINTENDO WII PACKAGE AND WILL ALSO GET A $1.00 DISCOUNT PER TICKET. THE CONCERT WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MAY 2ND AT HOBGOOD PARK. ADDITIONAL INFO IS AVAILABLE HERE AT THE STORE. (ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE CONCERT FOR THE CURE)!

We are still inventorying more great clothing every day so check in often!

We have made all of our calls to the consignors that have winter clothing to pick up, So if you've received a call or an email from us, please come & pick up your clothing as soon as possible. We will donate anything not picked up by end of day on April 23rd. You can also call us or email us to let us know that you want us to donate your left over items to the Cherokee Family Violence Center.

Later this week we will have some very cute pacifier clips from Mud Pie (per your requests) and we already have a new supply of the diaper bags that you all have been letting us know you like so much plus we have added some great zebra and giraffe print handbags! Please check out our excellent & large variety of gift items!

We are accepting spring/summer appointments and I
believe our next available appointment is April 28th! 
We are getting to the end of accepting for summer
inventory so there are only a handful of appointments
left. Please call or email us with your desired day of
the week & we will give you our first available date on
that day. We take two appointments per day, Monday
through Friday and items can be dropped off between
the hours of 11 am to 3 pm. If you schedule an
appointment, please make sure you mark it on your
calendar & keep it!  It can take a month for you 
to get back on our schedule.  See our updated
consignment policies at the bottom of the page.  
Please read them as a few things have changed.

They must be laying as flat as possible in
bins or laundry baskets, clean & pressed,
if necessary.

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Spring Break! To celebrate Spring Break & Easter, my 12 year old daughter Cheyenne came up with a special promotion for us! If you spend $25 or more with us (before tax) this week, you will get to open an Easter egg. Each egg will have a piece of candy in it that equates to a specific discount or gift item. You will receive that discount or item. There are ten kinds of candy so there will be ten different discounts or gift items. They are valued at up to 30% off your purchase! Of course, you will also get to keep your candy! :-) There is a limit of one egg per day.

Our "Item of the Day" will be three days long this week. On Thursday, Friday & Saturday, all dresses will be 20% off. Our hair bows are 10% off all week! All Easter gift items are 25% off all week!
